These five motivated girls hand made magic wands, potholders, bracelets and many more items to sell at the Annual Bellingham Library Craft Fair to raise money for the playground. They raised $51.92 in August 2007.
built in 1917, is a K-5 elementary school in Bellingham, WA. It is closed for the 2008-2009 school year for an estimated $4.5 million seismic retrofitting paid for by a voter approved bond measure. Parents, neighbors and children are using the school closure as an opportunity to replace the 30-year old playground and convert an asphalt play area into a grass field.
